    Born on December 25th, Dr. Anil Saxena is a Dubai-based visionary virtual/digital artist who blends technology with his medical expertise to create captivating visual experiences. With a strong background in Medicine and Renal Sciences, combined with expertise in graphic design and a deep passion for digital media, Dr. Saxena has developed a signature style that merges vibrant color palettes, surreal medical (preferably renal) landscapes, and intricate details.

  • Inspired by the nature of his work, medical science fiction, and abstract concepts, Dr. Saxena’s art often explores themes of transformation, identity, and the future. Each piece invites the viewer into an immersive world that challenges perception and sparks curiosity.

    Having worked with clients ranging from independent creatives to global brands such as Oxford Press, the European Renal Association (ERA), the Indian Journal of Nephrology (IJN), and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), Dr. Saxena brings a unique blend of artistic intuition and technical expertise to every project he undertakes. He consistently pushes the boundaries of what medical digital art can achieve.

    Dr. Saxena is a gifted and unique artist, possibly the only one of his kind in this field. When not creating, Dr. Saxena enjoys karaoke, sketching on a drawing board, and writing short poems (Haiku). He also frequently attends art exhibitions in Dubai and abroad.

FSGS - European Renal Association (ERA) Stockholm, Sweden Kidney Art Gallery

His famous renal virtual painting, ‘Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS),’ received the highest votes at the Kidney Art Gallery in Stockholm, Sweden, in May 2024, an event arranged by the ERA.

FSGS was also featured as the cover image on the ERA-NDT (Nephrology Dialysis & Transplantation) journal published by Oxford Press in the July 2024 issue.
